Volunteer Opportunities


FSW often has a need for volunteers. If you are interested in lending a helping hand with any of the needs listed below, please contact Debbie Gilbert Taylor at (203) 368-5537 or dgilberttaylor@fswinc.org.

Program: The Youth Business Center
Needs: Any craftsmen or women (especially woodworking) to share their skills with program youth

College or older students to act as youth mentors

Motivational speakers to share their success stories with young entrepreneurs and those entering the world of work for the first time

Program: Meals On Wheels
Needs: Individuals to help answer phones and assemble mailings

Program: Literacy Volunteers of Southeastern Fairfield County
Needs: Tutors to assist clients in learning how to comprehend and speak English. Training provided.

Program: Mental Health Services
Needs: Juniors and Seniors in high school to spend a few hours a month providing general office assistance.
